The Game's sophomore album The Doctor's Advocate is taking a little longer than expected. Instead of November 7th the Black Wall Street/Geffen release is now scheduled to drop a week later on November 14th.
Last month it was confirmed that the Game would be releasing his second album on his own Black Wall Street label through Geffen Records, rather than through G-Unit/Aftermath. Since the release of his debut album The Documentary Game has experienced ongoing friction with rapper and head of G-Unit 50 Cent. The rapper born Jayceon Taylor has been at the center of several controversies as of late. As previously reported, Game was involved in an altercation with fellow California rapper Ras Kass at a Los Angeles night club just this week.
While Game's current single "It's Ok (One Blood)" is getting plenty of burn on radio, the label is also planning to drop a second track, and work both singles simultaneously. The new song "Let's Ride" was produced by Scott Storch.
In addition to Storch, fans can expect to hear production from Timbaland, Just Blaze, Cool & Dre, Kanye West and Dr. Dre. Game's manager Jimmy Rosemond said last month that despite his move from Aftermath, Game would continue to work with Dr. Dre. In addition to Junior Reid, who appears on "It's Ok," The Doctor's Advocate features guest collaborations with Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg and Nas, among others.
The Doctor's Advocate will be available on November 14th.
