  • G-Unit's Tony Yayo is Finally Released From Prison

It's been a while and G-Unit is now a house-hold name, but one member has been incarcerated for a little over a year.

One of the original members of G-Unit, Tony Yayo was released from New York's Lakeview Shock Incarceration Correctional Facility on Thursday. Yayo was busted on weapons-possession charges stemming from an arrest in Decemeber 2002. He was sent to prison due to an outstanding warrant.

This morning (January 9), G-Unit DJ Whoo Kid was on New York's radio station Hot 97 and said that the whole crew gave Yayo a warm welcome home by throwing a party and presented him with a new house and car.

There has been no word as of yet to when the rapper will be back in the studio, but Yayo will be with 50 cent and G-Unit when they are guests on "Saturday Night Live," January 17th.

Also, if you haven't already heard, Compton rapper, The Game, has signed a deal into a joint venture between Aftermath and 50's G-Unit Records. 50 Cent is already working ways to incorporate the new artist. The Game is already shouting out his new allegiance on mixtapes.
