With the release date of his highly anticipated comeback disc Kingdome Come fast approaching, Jay-Z is offering fans an official sneak preview of the album before it hits shelves.
Beginning yesterday (November 14), Clear Channel Radio made the entire album available to its audience through its online program, "Sneak Peek." In New York, the exclusive listening opportunity is available to both Power 105.1 and Z100 listeners via the stations' respective websites.
Though many fans may have been privy to peeping a leaked version of Kingdom Come, "Sneak Peek" may be the only outlet for listeners to hear the actual version that will be available in stores.
"Jay-Z is a label CEO, Nets co-owner, and a phenomenally successful entrepreneur, but when all is said and done, it's about his music," said Evan Harrison, Executive Vice President of Clear Channel Radio and head of the company's online unit, via a statement. "It is a tremendous honor to offer millions of our listeners the chance to first experience Kingdom Come online and on demand."
The album, which includes the hit single "Show Me What You Got" and features collaborations with artists and producers including Nas, Kanye West and Coldplay's Chris Martin, will be the Jigga Man's first since taking over the position of president of Def Jam and dropping 2003's The Black Album.
In related news, Hova is using the album as a platform to take shots at former Roc-A-Fella artist Cam'ron with a diss record entitled "Dig A Hole." The Marcy-raised MC will also see his special documentary addressing the world's water crisis called "Diary of Jay-Z: Water For Life" air on MTV2 on Sunday, November 19 at 2 pm EST.
