50 Cent has reportedly landed a role for an upcoming drag racing movie titled Live Bet.
According to Daily Variety, the flick is set in the world of underground clubs and illegal car racing. Live Bet is expected to begin production in the summer with shooting taking place in various locations including Las Vegas and Philadelphia.
The movie, which will be release by Universal Pictures, will be directed by Mexican filmmaker Alejandro Lozano and produced by G-Unit Films' Chris Lighty, as well as Mary Parent and Scott Stuber for Stuber/Parents.
"We wanted to give the characters more soul," Lozano told Variety. "I didn't want to make a film that just stayed an action film."
50 is planning to release two solo albums by February of next year. The G-Unit honcho's third album, Before I Self Destruct, is slated to hit stores this summer. It reportedly features collaborations with Timbaland, Justin Timberlake and Rich Harrison, among others.
