  • Feds Believe Suspect "Provided Cover" in Jam Master Jay's Murder

Details about a Brooklyn inmate's role in the killing of Jam Master Jay were recently revealed in a letter from federal prosecutors to a New York judge presiding over the convict's robbery trial.

Ronald "Tenad" Washington is expected to be charged for partaking in the murders of JMJ and Randy "Stretch" Walker, a close associate of Tupac Shakur, after his girlfriend claimed that he confessed to playing a part in the slayings of the aforementioned individuals.

Washington's girlfriend, who has been identified as Daynia McDonald, made the claims during his ongoing robbery trial.

According to New York'sDaily News, the letter sent to Judge Nina Gershon from prosecutors Sean Haran and Adam Abensohn, contends that Washington and an unnamed associate entered JMJ's studio on October 30, 2002 and Washington "pointed his gun at those present in the studio, ordered them on the ground and provided cover for his associate to shoot and kill the co-founder and DJ of Run-DMC."

Washington, who was convicted on April 5 of six armed robberies for holdups he committed in November 2002, just weeks after JMJ's murder, has denied any involvement in the killings.
