New York authorities claim Foxy Brown was assaulted and robbed outside a Brooklyn housing project on Saturday night (June 23).
According to the New York's Daily News, Foxy (born Inga Marchand) had attended a party with her boyfriend at the Louis H. Pink Houses before dumping him after finding out he was a pimp.
Police say the couple were in his car when she decided to end their relationship and he reportedly called three of his women to attacked the Brooklyn bred rapper. The incident occurred at 5:30 a.m.
"They beat her bad," a police source told the Daily News. "They ripped out her hair weave. Her hair was a mess - and that seems to be what she cared about most."
The women who attacked Brown stole her $500 handbag, necklaces and her hearing aid.
After the assault, Brown filed a complaint at a local police station and drove around the neighborhood with cops to find her attackers. During the search, the rapper pointed out Roshawn Anthony, 23, of Brooklyn, who was arrested and charged with robbery, assault and possession of a weapon.
Brown would then stop co-operating with the officers when one of her representatives arrived on the scene, the source said.
Brown is currently on probation for assaulting two manicurists in Manhattan's Bloomie Nails in 2004. Probation spokesman Jack Ryan refused to comment on the incident until his office had more information.
