A Malibu, California mansion belonging to Death Row Records founder Marion "Suge" Knight has reportedly been put up for sale to cover the mogul's bankruptcy debts.
According to The Smoking Gun, the house which Knight lost due to bankruptcy is on the market for $6.2 million. The mansion sits on an 8.9 acre knoll above the Pacific Ocean and boasts seven bedrooms and nine-and-a-half bathrooms.
The property was listed for sale by a Malibu broker and its description doesn't identify Knight as its owner, but emphasizes that the mansion's sale has to be approved by a bankruptcy court. The purchase price "does not include any personal property" but the buyer of the house will get Knight's red felt pool table.
The financial problems of Suge and his Death Row empire have been well documented in the past two years. In 2005, a judge ordered Suge to pay $107 million to Lydia Harris, a woman who helped him start Death Row and was owed profits after being forced out of the label.
Knight avoided paying judgment because he filed for bankruptcy in April 2006. Months later, he would lose his label and various assets.
