On Wednesday afternoon, Rakim was injured in a car accident in Connecticut on his way to New York, MTV News reports. He bumped his knee and hit his head in the windshield.
As a result of the accident, Rakim scratched his face, suffered a swollen knee and he's been experiencing pain in the back.
Rakim's attorney wouldn't give out any further details on the accident, but said that his client was coherent and talking, didn't appear to be seriously hurt and was expected to be out and about again soon.
