R. Kelly's 15 year-old nephew has attained gun shot wounds stemming from a botched robbery Thursday (November 6) in a Chicago barbershop.
According to Chicago's Fox 32 News, the superstar's relative is believed to have been shot at least two times by the store's owner. While details are still developing, authorities currently have custody of the teenager's brother, Brandon, who is being held in custody for the attempted robbery.
Despite signs pointing to the nephew's involvement, his father Carey Kelly claims his son was likely the victim of another person running the failed robbery.
As of now, the teenager is being treated for chest wounds at a hospital in the Chicago area.
There has been no statement from the singer as of yet.
