Rapper Nas has hit back at recent footage that surfaced on the Internet showing the rapper failing a field sobriety test in Georgia in September.
Police dash cam footage of Nas hit the net last week, showing the rapper undergoing a series of tests by officers seeking to determine if the rapper was sober or not.
Nas was eventually arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
According to police, the chart-topping rapper's tongue was green and he reeked of marijuana.
He also admitted that he had been smoking the drug prior to getting behind the wheel.
“You know what it is, profiling man. You know they can’t keep a good man from shining,” the rapper told TMZ.com of his arrest.
Nas is currently putting the final touches on his upcoming album with Damien Marley titled Distant Relatives.
On December 12, the pair will appear in Washington DC with a number of pioneer rappers at National Geographic's Grosvenor Auditorium.
Nas and Damien Marley will discuss the links between Hip-Hop and its Caribbean and African roots.
Other confirmed panelists include DJ Kool Herc, Rakim, Sway, Jeff Chang, King Jammy and others.
