  • Kim Kardashian sues Old Navy for using look-alike actress Melissa Molinaro in ad campaign

"Keeping Up" star Kim Kardashian isn't down with Old Navy.

The reality TV temptress filed a federal lawsuit Wednesday claiming Old Navy cast a curvy Kim-personator in a recent ad campaign and knowingly cashed in on her world-famous image.

"We're seeking damages according to proof," Kardashian's attorney Gary Hecker told the Daily News, declining to state a dollar amount.

"Kim Kardashian is immediately recognizable and is known for her look and style. Her identity and persona are valuable. When her intellectual property rights are violated, she intends to enforce them," Hecker said.

"I've worked hard to support the products I'm personally involved with and that I believe in," Kardashian, the 30-year-old star of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," said in a statement.

In a bizarre twist, the alleged Old Navy campaign clone is now reportedly dating Kardashian's ex-boyfriend Reggie Bush in real life.

Actress Melissa Molinaro shares Kardashian's long brunette locks and petite bombshell figure but has denied she answered a casting call seeking a doe-eyed doppelganger.

She told E! back in February that the Old Navy audition breakdown instructed her to dress in the style of Prince, Madonna or Lady Gaga. She said comparisons to Kardashian only hit after the first ad aired.

"It's just crazy to me because I think I look like Melissa Molinaro," she told E!

Molinaro also took to Twitter on Wednesay to address the situation.

"We're still talking about this?! Its JULY this aired in February," she wrote. "Some people have too much time on there hands."

The Old Navy ad in question features Molinaro dancing and lip-synching to a synthetic pop song titled "Super C-U-T-E" by a faux band called The Audio Threadz.

It's racked up more than 2 million views on YouTube.

"Breaking News!! @CBSNEWS reports that Old Navy's Super CUTE star looks like @kimkardashian. #LOL. What do you think?" read a post on Old Navy's Twitter account after the campaign's debut in February.

Old Navy's parent company Gap Inc. told the Daily News they have not yet seen the lawsuit and cannot provide a comment.

    STUPID!!!

"Kim Kardashian is immediately recognizable and is known for her look and style. Her identity and persona are valuable. When her intellectual property rights are violated, she intends to enforce them," Hecker said.

So what did she invent/create? More proof that patent/copyright law is screwed up in America
