X-Men 3 Villain Buzz
British football star-turned-actor Vinnie Jones is up for an unspecified villain role in X-Men 3. Jones has previously worked with X3 director Matthew Vaughn, who produced Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch.
So which character might Jones play? Could it be Black Tom Cassidy? Omega Red? Mr. Sinister?
According to a reliable source for Ain't It Cool News, Jones is in the running to portray none other than Cain Marko, a.k.a. Juggernaut. IGN FilmForce has also been able to confirm that this is the case.
In the comics, Marko is the step-brother of Prof. Charles Xavier. No word yet if that will also be the case in the film. It's rather difficult to picture Vinnie Jones and Patrick Stewart at a family gathering.
X-Men 3 begins filming this July for a May 26, 2006 release.
