Just when heads began buzzing about Dave Chappelle's highly anticipated third season of Chappelle's Show's, the May 31st premiere has been postponed indefinitely while Comedy Central has stopped production. In a press release, Comedy Central stated, "All parties are optimistic that production will resume in the near future."
This marks the second time Chappelle's Show's third season has been pushed back. The series was initially set to debut in February, but was later pushed back because the comedian suffered from pneumonia. Comedy Central then had to deny reports that Chappelle and his writing team were challenged with writer's block. Word is ten new episodes have already been filmed for the third season. 50 Cent, Kanye West and Common will be among the season's musical guests and have already shot their segments. Reports say Chappelle was in Harlem filming skits last week. His publicist declined to comment.
