    Question about BP claims fund?

    If someone is affected by the oil spill, but do not reside in the gulf area, are they eligible for a BP claim?

    For example, if someone owned a seafood restaurant and then went out of business because the price of fish doubles. After this, can they get money from the fund? I am just curious, am not someone that is applying.

    No. That would be absurd. Most of the shrimp served comes from Shrimp Farms anyhow, not from the Gulf.
