Husband Calls Police After Suspecting Wife Of Underage Sex
Donna Goebel, 43, of Westampton, N.J., has been arrested and charged with sexual assault in the second degree.
Authorities said Thursday a husband called police on his own wife after he said he suspected her of having sex with a child.
The husband of 43-year-old Donna Goebel showed NBC10 News pictures of his wife and said how horrified he was when he found pictures of the alleged victim inside his house.
The couple has two teenagers of their own, NBC10 News reported.
Goebel works as a teacher's aide at a school for children with special needs.
Police said none of the assaults occurred on school property and school officials are aware of the investigation and are cooperating with authorities.
Goebel was taken into custody Thursday afternoon at her home.
She is being held on $75,000 bail and is prohibited from having contact with any minor child.
Goebel will appear in Burlington County Superior Court on sex assault charges today (Feb 8th).
Prosecutors said they were not releasing the name of the school to protect the victim. Police also said none of the alleged assaults took place on school property.
If convicted, she could face between five to 10 years behind bars.
