Raiders replace Zach Miller with Kevin Boss
It didn’t take long for the Raiders to replace Zach Miller.
The team signed Kevin Boss, the next best free agent tight end available this offseason. Adam Schefter reports Boss will get $16 million over four seasons.
Boss isn’t as good a receiver as Miller, but he’s a superior blocker. He was a favorite of Eli Manning, who won’t be pleased when he hears this news.
The Raiders were over the salary cap before this deal, which is another reminder that money can always be pushed around. Richard Seymour and Stanford Routt both restructured deals to open up cap room.
