The Oakland Raiders added another veteran cornerback, signing Denard Walker to a one-year contract on Thursday.
The move comes 10 days after the Raiders signed cornerback Ray Buchanan, a seven-year starter with the Atlanta Falcons who was released last month.
Walker, 30, was the starting right cornerback for the Minnesota Vikings last season and finished with 58 tackles, one interception and 12 passes defensed, but was waived on March 30 after refusing to take a paycut. He had started 31 games over the previous two seasons with the Denver Broncos.
"We're pleased to have Denard join what is already a talented group of defensive backs," said new Raiders coach Norv Turner.
The 6-0, 190-pound Walker spent his first four seasons with the Tennessee Titans and started in Super Bowl XXXIV, when the Titans lost to the St. Louis Rams.
