The Denver Post reports the unthinkable...
"The loose talk around the league is Michael Jordan has been working out like a demon, testing the possibility of joining forces with Shaquille O'Neal in Miami, according to [Nuggets GM Kiki] Vandeweghe."
This is pure speculation -- his Airness turns 42 in February -- but it's not far-fetched. It was only a little over a year ago that he played 82 games and averaged 37 minutes and 20 points for the Wiz. He's only 5 months older than the Mailman; who put up 13 and 9 per night for L.A. Plus, you know MJ didn't like how things turned out in DC -- 2 seasons, 0 playoff appearances -- and he didn't leave on his own terms. The more I think about it, the more comeback #3 makes sense.
Could you imagine the Heat w/ Michael? They've already got a championship-level duo in Shaq and Dwyane Wade. Now, w/ MJ, they could do in '05 what Shaq and Kobe couldn't in '04: win an NBA title. Now that would be a fitting way for #23 to fly away.
