Jones' large contract, combined whose the deals of Brian Grant and possibly Odom, may force Miami's hand in trading Jones in a cost-cutting move. The Heat agreed to terms with Odom on a six-year, $63-million offer sheet. The team's hope is that the Clippers choose to let Odom go. Odom says he is not interested in returning to the Clippers. He has averaged 15.9 points per game during his four seasons with the Clippers. The team may waive him or place him at the end of the bench if it can't orchestrate a deal.
