Ahman Green is second on Green Bay's all-time rushing list and has been selected to the Pro Bowl four times.
Green Bay Packers running back Ahman Green was arrested Tuesday after a domestic violence incident.
The Brown County sheriff's department said deputies went to his residence after a 911 call ended with a hang-up. The Pro Bowler was arrested at about 10:10PM CT Monday after officers believed a domestic violence incident happened.
Green was taken to the Brown County jail, but he posted bond and was released.
Packers general manager Ted Thompson released a statement that said the organization was trying to get more information.
"We obviously care about Ahman and the entire Green family, and we will continue to support them through this time," he said.
The organization wouldn't make further comments because it's a legal matter, he said.
A message left for Green's agent, David Dunn, wasn't immediately returned Tuesday night.
Green has been with the Packers since 2000 and was selected to the Pro Bowl the last four years. He is second on the team's all-time rushing list after starting his career in Seattle. He played college football at Nebraska.
He is married with two daughters and a stepson, according to Packers publicity materials.
