  • Rampage + Chuck Liddell Photos from UFC 71 Weigh In - He Looked Fat

We covered the UFC 71 fight quite extensively - we even had a correspondent in attendance from the weigh-in to the post-fight purse. While most people were surprised at how quickly Rampage knocked out Chuck Liddell, reports are now coming out that perhaps we shouldn’t have been surprised. The FanHouse reports that Liddell was partying heavily the week leading up the fight:

“There were multiple sightings of Liddell at Body English nightclub at the Hard Rock Hotel, starting on the Sunday before the fight. He was at Jet nightclub at The Mirage on Monday and back at Body English on Wednesday, as seen in a photo posted on spyonvegas.com.

His fight-week nightcrawling raises questions about how serious the UFC’s biggest star took his training.”

Well we have the first-hand pictures from the weigh in to show that Liddell looked very out of shape - especially compared to Rampage. These photos come from our boy Andrew Machado - who enjoyed the entire weekend’s festivities at the MGM and even partied first hand with Chuck after the fight… twice. Apparently Rampage knocked Chuck out but he was doing fine a few hours later.

Liddell has a big ol’ belly. And some terrible boxer shorts. If you were being weighed on national TV, wouldn’t you get something a little fancier? Cooler? Perhaps like Rampage’s camo boxers.

Liddell forecasted his knock out… but the wrong way.

Chucky looks small next to Rampage.

    Rampage looks huge.

To be honest, I'm not that surprised.

I've always thought to an extent that Chuck didn't take fights seriously enough at times, and its been reported in the past of his frequest slacking off prior to fights, mainly partying.

Rampage came ready to fight; Chuck didnt. Thats why the fight ended in less than a round.
