  • Strasburg done in 6th of 2nd start

Stephen Strasburg had more trouble with the mound than Indians hitters during his second major league start.

Twice on Sunday, Washington's rookie phenom asked for mound repairs to be made during the Nationals' game against Cleveland. After walking two in the sixth to load the bases, the 21-year-old was replaced by manager Jim Riggleman and booed as he walked off the field.

Strasburg gave up just two hits — one a homer to Travis Hafner — and struck out eight before he was lifted.

Showing off his 100 mph fastball, Strasburg struck out the side in the fourth to escape his first real trouble as a big leaguer. But he seemed bothered by loose dirt in the landing area in the fourth and again in the sixth. After walking Hafner in the sixth, he kicked the dirt in frustration.

Strasburg struck out 14 in his major league debut.
