Kanyon, Spanky, Goldust, Ernest 'The Cat' Miller, and Zach Gowen are the recent WWE releases.
That list will likely continue to grow throughout the 2004 year as WWE evaluates talent on a weekly basis. When guys like this yet cut, many question the fact as to why they were released.
With Ernest Miller, WWE management was just sick and tired of the fact that he needed in-ring work and wasn't doing anything to try and improve it.
The rest of the guys who were cut though are a different story. We keep hearing the reason they were released is because “Creative couldn’t find anything for them”.
To be fair, the creative team right now is way understaffed and they write for one man, Vince McMahon.
Triple H and others in WWE management have said things like “the talent needs to step up and seize the moment, and make management notice them.” They need to “hit the ball out of the park”. As just words, they sound great. In reality however, they ring hollow, and even disingenuous.
