There is once again heat between Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart. The latest incident stems from HBK claiming to be the innovator of the Ladder Match on WWE's recent Ten Greatest WrestleMania Matches special. The Ladder Match was actually created by Dan Kroffat, a Calgary wrestler during the 70s. Bret Hart then had a few Ladder Matches including one with Dynamite Kid in Calgary.
It was Hart who brought the Ladder Match idea to Vince McMahon. McMahon apparently promised Hart that he would be featured in WWE's first high profile Ladder Match. That of course did not happen as Vince booked Shawn Michaels vs. Razor Ramon in the company's first big Ladder Match. This really upset Hart. The feeling now is that HBK made the innovator comments as a shot at Hart.
