Syndicated wrestling columnist Alex Marvez recently sat down with both Shane Douglas and Kevin Nash for interviews.
Shane Douglas Interview
Marvez focused his interview with Shane Douglas on ECW and the two upcoming reunions, including Douglas' own "Hardcore Homecoming" show. Douglas noted that many past ECW workers had been asking him to back the show for years, and that the idea ended up taking off so well that he didn't even really need to advertise. He also attacked WWE's reunion, calling it a "bull with no balls." Douglas believes that Vince is well aware of the fact that Raven, Terry Funk and Joey Styles should have been part of the action, but he condemns Vince for not offering them a fair price to work the show. He also made sure to note that even though he'd love to have Paul Heyman at his reunion, Heyman was certainly not the only force behind ECW.
Kevin Nash Interview
The interview with Kevin Nash focused on The Longest Yard and Nash's upcoming movie roles. As with past interviews, Nash, who is filming a movie in China, noted that he can buy bootlegged DVDs of current American films for $1.50 a piece. He also spoke on the backstage political climate and praised Rick Rude for teaching him about how to succeed in the backstage environment. Nash also referred to TNA as a "hee haw" show, claiming it alienated any potential urban and/or black viewers.
